I worked with art director Bente Christensen on this rebirth of a long-retired game. My role initially focused on the screen animation and logo design, but expanded to scenic surface design, and eventually I took over all aspects of art direction on this project.
Our aesthetic was Space-age and Googie, mixed with very on-the-nose currency design notes (per Production).
For the screen animation, I created a digital-age reinterpretation of the guilloché patterns in currency design.
For the scenery, I expanded that concept to the repeating, hugely-swooping lines across the façade surfaces, as well as tiny gravure-inspired pattern work throughout the details.
